The purpose of this notice is to inform you about how Kitty’s London Ltd (KITTY’S) processes your personal data when you make a purchase in our boutique or through our e-commerce store, accessible at www.kittys.london.

Kitty’s London Ltd (KITTY’S) is the data controller responsible for all processing of your personal data described in this notice, whether your purchase is made in our boutique or through our e-commerce store at www.kittys.london.

Kitty’s London Ltd (KITTY’S) is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 00287436, with its registered office at 2-5 Old Bond Street, London, W1S 4PD, United Kingdom. As a single company, it acts as the data controller for all the purposes described in this notice, including:

a) processing carried out for contractual purposes in connection with purchases made at our boutique, and for related administrative, accounting, financial and tax purposes;
b) processing for marketing, profiling and ‘soft opt-in’ purposes, in relation to both online and offline purchases;
c) processing related to purchases made through our e-commerce store, including administrative, accounting, financial and tax purposes, delivery logistics and customer care management.

2. Purpose, Basis and Retention

Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

  1. to (i) manage the sale of our products and provide sales and after-sales services (including, for example, fraud prevention, returns, product warranties and customer support, and handling any complaints and disputes); (ii) in the context of online activities, create and maintain your personal account; and (iii) respond to your requests for information submitted through our contact channels. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you. Data is retained for up to 6 years from the date of purchase.

  2. to comply with our legal obligations, including in accounting, financial and tax matters. The legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject. Data is retained for the period required by the applicable legislation (generally 6 years).

  3. for marketing purposes, that is, to send newsletters and commercial communications relating to Kitty’s products and/or services, by post, telephone and electronic means (such as SMS, WhatsApp and email) with your prior consent, and/or to invite you to exclusive events and/or to carry out customer satisfaction surveys. The legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Personal data is retained until you withdraw your consent.

  4. for profiling purposes, that is, to analyse, subject to your consent, your personal data (such as location and gender) together with your purchasing habits, preferences and browsing behaviour on our website, in order to send you communications and personalised offers. The legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Given the nature of the goods, this data is retained for up to 7 years from your last purchase and/or last interaction with us (for example, attending an event, using a particular service, or opening a marketing communication), on the basis of an assessment carried out by us.

  5. for ‘soft opt-in’ purposes, that is, to send you, where you have purchased from us before and have not opted out, promotional electronic communications relating to our products and services similar to those you previously purchased. The legal basis is our legitimate interest, and you may object at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each communication or by writing to hartwell@kittys.london. This data is processed until you object.

3. Personal Data We Process

Your personal data, processed for the purposes referred to above, falls into the following categories:

  • identification and personal details, such as name, gender and date of birth;

  • contact information, such as telephone number and email address;

  • information relating to your purchases, such as the products purchased, amount spent, purchase history and order number;

  • billing information, such as your billing address and payment details;

  • delivery information, such as the delivery address and the details of the recipient;

  • information relating to your personal account and your browsing of www.kittys.london, such as browsing data and tracking data obtained from cookies placed on the site (for more information, see our Cookie Choices).

4. Methods of Processing Data

Your personal data will be processed using both paper-based and electronic methods. For marketing and profiling purposes, processing may take place by automated electronic means (email, WhatsApp, text message and automated calling systems without an operator) and/or by traditional means (paper, ordinary post or non-automated telephone calls). In all cases, processing is carried out in ways strictly related to the purposes set out above, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your data.

5. Scope of Data Disclosure

Your personal data may be shared with the following categories of recipient:

  • our staff, who are specifically authorised to process the data and are appropriately instructed and trained to do so;
